The ABIM Foundation announced a new effort today aimed at increasing physicians’ awareness of their role as stewards of America’s health care resources and providing them with tools they can use to improve quality and reduce unnecessary spending.
ABIM Foundation BOT Approves Four New Grants

The ABIM Foundation Board of Trustees approved funding of four new projects led by researchers at the American Board of Internal Medicine, University of Toronto, University of Saskatchewan and the Northport VA Medical Center to advance medical professionalism in the areas of diagnostic errors, multi-source feedback and interprofessional teamwork.

ABIM Foundation Announces New Grant to American College of Physicians to Improve Care Transitions

The ABIM Foundation has awarded a grant of $60,000 to the American College of Physicians (ACP) to support their efforts in developing tools for primary care practices to improve care transitions for patients moving from the hospital to the home.
