Dr. Woo is a general internist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. At Harvard Medical School, she is Senior Associate Master of the Francis Weld Peabody Society and Director of the Patient-Doctor I course which introduces medical students to the profession and practice of medicine. She received her medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Woo has been a member and officer of the Society of General Internal Medicine and has served on the editorial boards of the Harvard Family Health Letter and Harvard Women’s Health Watch. Her major interests include teaching about the medical interview and the patient-doctor relationship, as well as preventive medicine and the appropriate use of screening examinations and tests in clinical practice.
Dr. Woo is the author or co-author of a number of original journal articles, book chapters and monographs, and reviews. As a member of the ABIM Board of Directors from 1998-2004, Dr. Woo served on the Executive Committee, Committee on Certification, Committee on Recertification, Internal Medicine Examination Selection Committee, and other working groups; she also chaired the Committee on General Internal Medicine.
