Debra L. Ness is the President of the National Partnership for Women & Families. Her extensive background in health and public policy make her a remarkably effective advocate with a deep understanding of what women and families need at home, in the workplace, and in the health care arena. She is a highly respected and oft-quoted expert who testifies frequently before Congress, speaks before prestigious audiences, and is quoted regularly in leading print and broadcast media.

Ness serves on the boards of some of the nation’s most influential organizations working to improve health care. In addition to the ABIM Foundation, Ness serves on the Boards of the National Quality Forum (NQF) and the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and chairs the NQCA Consumer Advisory Council. She co-chairs the Consumer-Purchaser Disclosure Project, a group of leading consumer, employer, and labor organizations working to ensure that all Americans have access to publicly reported health care performance information,. She sits on the Steering Committee of the AQA and the Quality Alliance Steering Committee (QASC), co-chairing its Cost/Price Transparency Working Group. Ness also serves on the Executive Committee of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights (LCCR) and co-chairs LCCR’s Health Task Force.
